Because Molokini is a protected marine and bird reserve, visiting with a registered tour company is required (you can depart from small boat harbors at Mā‘alaea and Lāhainā). Hike along King’s Road and make your way through lava fields and along the coast. Don’t forget your hiking boots...this is a strenuous trail.
